2. Lower the handlebar stem down until it clicks into the rear fender hook.
3. To unfold, release the hook and lift the stem back up until it locks into place.

Can I take the scooter on a plane?

No. Due to the lithium battery size, electric scooters cannot be carried on commercial flights as carry-on or checked luggage. Please check with your airline for specific policies.

🇬🇧 Where can I legally ride my scooter in the UK?

Currently, privately-owned electric scooters can only be legally ridden on private land with the landowner's permission.

Warning: It is currently illegal to ride privately-owned e-scooters on public roads, pavements, or cycle lanes in the UK.

🇬🇧 Do I need a licence or insurance?

For riding on private land, you do not need a driving licence or insurance. Please stay updated on UK government legislation regarding future changes for public road usage.

Do I need a helmet?

While not strictly legally mandated for private land use, we strongly recommend wearing a helmet at all times for your own safety.

🔧 Maintenance & Tech

What is the battery lifespan?

Typically 2-3 years or 300-500 charge cycles. To extend life: don't drain to 0% and charge monthly if stored.

How to charge the battery correctly?

1. Plug the charger into the wall socket first, then connect to the scooter.
2. The indicator light turns red when charging, green when fully charged.
3. Full charge takes approximately 4-6 hours depending on the model.

Tip: Always use the original Joyor charger. Third-party chargers may damage the battery and void warranty.

☀️ Summer: Hot weather riding & charging tips

Riding: Avoid riding in extreme heat above 45°C. High temperatures can cause battery overheating and reduce performance.
Charging: NEVER charge immediately after a long ride in hot weather. Let the scooter cool down for 30-60 minutes first.
Storage: Do not leave the scooter parked in direct sunlight for extended periods.

Warning: Charging an overheated battery can cause swelling, fire, or permanent damage.

❄️ Winter: Cold weather riding & charging tips

Range: Expect 20-40% reduced range in cold weather below 0°C — this is normal for lithium batteries and recovers in warmer temperatures.
Charging: Charge indoors at room temperature (10-25°C). Do NOT charge when the battery temperature is below 0°C.
Storage: Store indoors if possible. If stored outside, keep battery charge at 50-70% and charge monthly.

Tip: Warm up the battery by riding slowly for the first 2-3 minutes in cold weather for better performance.

Is it waterproof?

It is water-resistant (IP54) for light splashes but not waterproof. Avoid heavy rain, puddles, and never submerge the scooter in water.

How to maintain the tires?

Check tire pressure every 2 weeks. Recommended pressure is 40-50 PSI (check your model manual).
Under-inflated tires reduce range, increase wear, and risk pinch flats.

Tip: Proper tire pressure can extend range by up to 15% and improve ride comfort.

Why is my range decreasing?

Range decrease is normal and can be caused by:
• Cold weather (most common)
• Low tire pressure
• Rider weight and riding style
• Hilly terrain and frequent acceleration
• Battery aging over time

14 Days: You can return brand new, unused scooters in their original packaging within 14 days of receipt.

Warranty Coverage

1 Year for the scooter, 6 Months for the battery. Physical damage is not covered.
